This exceptional package takes you to volcanoes National Park in the north Western part of Uganda majorly to see the rarely seen species of Mountain Gorillas, Chimpanzee and Canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest and Akagera National Park, a hub for Rwanda’s Wildlife.

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport.

Our guide will pick you from the airport on arrival and transfer up to your hotel of residence in Kigali city. Stay at Five to five hotel (hotel), Mille Collines Hotel (Luxury) and Flame Tree Village (Mid-range)

Day 2: Drive to Akagera – Evening Game Drive.

Early in the morning, you will start the scenic drive from Kigali to Akagera National Park. You will arrive early for lunch at Akagera Game Lodge.

Later you will have a boat cruise on Lake Ihema to see different aquatic species like Hippos, Crocodiles and water bird species. Stay at Akagera Game Lodge (budget/mid-range) and Rusizi tented camp

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise.

You will start with a morning game drive to the northern part of Akagera. While on this excursion, you will have chance to see animals like antelopes, giraffes, bush bucks, and more. Later return to the lodge for lunch, before you head for the afternoon cruise on Lake Ihema. You will sight a lot of aquatic species like hippos, crocodiles and more.

Day 4: Akagera – Drive to Nyungwe National park.

After some great encounters in Akagera, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park. It includes en route stopover at different en route points of interest such as Butare Museum, Nyanza museum and more. Stay at Gisakura guest House (Budget), Top View Lodge (Mid-range) and Nyungwe Forest Lodge (Luxury).

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking

Early in the morning after briefing, you will start the tacking journey to the Jungle in search of these Chimpanzee primates.

After locating them, you are allowed to be in their presence for some time while immersing their behaviors and way of life.

Day 6: Canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest

Early in the morning after breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for the adventurous Canopy walk.

You will wander along suspended trails – this excursion offers scenic views of valleys, tree tops and towering volcano, in addition to multiple bird species.

Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Wake up early and start the Journey to Volcanoes National Park in the north western part of Uganda.

Tourists are overwhelmed by numerous natural sceneries within the Park suburbs. Check in at Muhabura hotel (budget), Le bamboos Lodge (Mid-range) and Mountain Gorilla view Hotel (luxury)

Day 8: Gorilla trekking

Gorilla trekking is one of the reasons why a lot of travelers pack for this destination in the western part of Rwanda.

Early in the morning, be at the headquarters for the briefing conducted to highlight tourists about Gorilla trek.

After briefing, the amazing Journey to the Jungle starts in search of these apes. You are allowed to be in their presence for only one hour and after return to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 9: Golden monkey tracking.

Golden monkey tracking excursions grants the opportunity to meet with the species of the Old World monkey family in the Jungles. You will be first briefed about the tracking session before you start the Journey.

After, the journey starts and you will search for these primates in the Jungles until you discover their location. After all tracking sessions, transfer to Lake Kivu.

Day 10: Boat cruise – Transfer to Kigali

You will enjoy a boat cruise up to the coffee Island – from here; views of surrounding sceneries are inspirational.

After Lake Kivu, you will drive back to Kigali city for overnight stay or drop off at the airport for your return flight back home.
