Tucked far in the north eastern Uganda, Kidepo Valley National Park is the most isolated park in Uganda. Of all parks, Kidepo still stands as one of the most appealing in the country. It is a must see for Wildlife enthusiasts.
This protected area was declared a national park in 1962. Currently provides habitat to various Wildlife species that are not found in any other Ugandan park.
Ranked the third best National Park in Africa, Kidepo is located in Kaabong district, at about 510 kilometers from Kampala by road. It’s near Moroto, the largest town in the sub region.
Its convenient location in a core of savannah landscapes neared by plenty of mountainous sceneries offers breathtaking views of sunrise/set, wilderness and rolling hills. Kidepo with its captivating features draws many travelers from various corners of the World.
Its fauna includes 75 species of mammals together with 470 species of birds including the endemic and non-endemic species.
