It is a sparsely populated area with a few towns on the shores like Kyevu and Muko towns. It comprises about 29 islands including the Bushara Island, akamoere, kyahungye, bwama, nyu yeera and bucuranuka to name but a few.

Lake Bunyonyi delights visitors with a myriad of thrilling activities such as canoeing, visiting the local towns, pygmy village visit, boat rides, birding, hiking in the highlands, water sports, and scenic viewing among others.

With all its scenery, it is not surprising that this Lake is listed among the most appealing places in the country and East Africa. If you need a perfect venue for your honeymoon or romantic weekend in Uganda, Lake Bunyonyi is the best.

The view of the place during the morning mist rise from the clear water of the lake makes the moment epic. Unending views of the islands are also inspirational.
