On this five day Gorilla and primate safari you will visit two prominent parks named Bwindi Impenetrable and Kibale Forest National Park in the western part of Uganda. You will come closer to the Gorillas and the Chimpanzee primates.

Day 1: Kampala – Transfer to Bwindi

After morning breakfast, check out and embark the Safari jeep to start the Journey with your guide up to Bwindi, a park recorded with the highest numbers of Gorillas in Uganda.

It takes about 9-10 hours for the drive from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive in the evening and check in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Accommodation options; Gorilla Forest Camp, Engagi Lodge or Bwindi Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trek in Bwindi

Be prepared for this once in a lifetime experience. Have your morning breakfast and the driver is ready to transfer you up to the park headquarters for briefing. After briefing you start the Journey which includes ascending and descending the steep rugged terrains in the Jungle.

Time taken while searching for these apes and distance moved depends on where these apes spent their last night.

After locating them you are allowed to be in their presence for only one hour – see them feeding, playing, strolling around and after start the journey back to the park office s or place of stay.

Day 3: Bwindi – Drive to Kibale National Park

After your delicious morning breakfast, say bye to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and transfer up to Kibale Forest National Park, a park recorded with the highest numbers of primates in East Africa.

You will arrive in the late afternoon; check in at the lodge for lunch and relaxation. There is plenty of lodging options including Ndali lodge, Kyaninga Lodge, Kibale Forest or Kibale Primates Lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking

Be part of the remarkable experience as you track Chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park. It’s advised to move slowly and maintain your voice at low tone while in the Jungle because these primates are tricky and sensitive – so they can easily hideaway if they discover presence of human beings.

While in the Jungle you are exposed to other primates such as Bush babies, Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Baboons and more.

After the precious time had with the chimpanzees you start the journey back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Later in the afternoon you can do the Bigodi walk to sight different unique bird species and other Wildlife species.

Day 5: Kibale – Drive Back To Kampala

Have breakfast and after check out for the exciting journey back to Kampala. Lunch is provided en route and after you proceed to Kampala, you will arrive in the late afternoon.

You can do the visit to the craft shops in down town, access the bank ATM for money withdraw and later your guide will transfer you up to the airport for return flight or you can have an overnight stay in Entebbe. End of Safari.
